Kate Tromble is the pastoral associate for social justice at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington, D.C., where she has been a parishioner for 13 years. Prior to joining the Holy Trinity team, Kate was Director of Legislative Affairs at the Education Trust, a nonprofit policy and advocacy organization whose mission is to eliminate the academic achievement gaps that separate low-income students and students of color from their peers. Before this, Kate served as Legislative Counsel to Senator Paul S. Sarbanes for a number of years. She also served as Legislative and Policy Advisor to Maryland Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. Kate has practiced law at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in American studies from Georgetown University and a juris doctorate from Vanderbilt Law School.
