Peter Henriot is a Jesuit priest originally from the most beautiful part of the United States, the Puget Sound country in Washington State. Besides theological studies in Berkeley, he has been trained in political science at the University of Chicago and Harvard University. From 1971 to 1988, he worked at the Center of Concern in Washington DC. In 1989 he moved to Zambia and Malawi, working at the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection in Lusaka and the Loyola Jesuit Secondary School in Kasungu. Promotion of the church’s social teaching and engagement in local pastoral work have been key activities in his life.
